Egypt competes for best team in Africa award 2017: CAF

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced on Monday the final shortlists of contenders for awards of best of the year in several categories.

In this context, CAF announced that Egypt is competing with Cameroon and Nigeria for the National Team of the Year award.

Meanwhile, the list of the top three nominees for African Player of the Year included Mohamed Salah. who plays for Egypt’s national football team and Liverpool FC, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who plays for Gabon’s national team and Borussia Dortmund, and Sadio Mané, who plays for Senegal’s national team and Liverpool FC.

Furthermore, the Coach of the Year nominees list includes Hector Cuper, the Egyptian national team coach, Gernot Rohr, Nigeria’s coach, and L’Hussein Amoutta, Wydad AC coach.

Furthermore, the club of the year list included, Al Ahly, TP Mazember, and Wydad Athletic club.

It should be mentioned that the awards will be announced on 4 January 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
