The Export Development Authority (EDA) organised a trade mission to the Dutch city of Rotterdam. The mission included 10 small and medium Egyptian enterprises working in the field of agricultural crops, and it aimed at promoting Egyptian agricultural exports in the Dutch market, as part of the green trade initiative.
According to the Egypt State Information Service (SIS), the main Egyptian exports to the Netherlands are vegetables, fruits, grains, oil and its products, yarns, carpets, garments, and iron and its products.
According to the SIS, the trade volume between Egypt and the Netherlands is about €1bn annually.
For her part, Sherine el-Shorbagi, chief executive officer of the EDA, said that the mission included field visits to five of the largest Dutch factories, working in the field of agricultural crops. They aimed at holding meetings with managers and officials in these factories, to identify the modern manufacturing methods in the field of agricultural crops.
El-Shorbagi noted that the Egyptian companies have presented their products and their ability to export to the Dutch market.
