Minister of Tourism Rania Al-Mashat will inaugurate the International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC)`s annual international congress that will take place 2-9 July in Hurghada, Egypt.
The congress is held under the auspices of the Egyptian presidency and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and it will be commenced by Al-Mashat and Abdelrahman Ayman, the 2017-18 global president of AIESEC.
AIESEC is a global youth-run organisation activating youth leadership since 1948.
Also, AIESEC is hosting the international congress for the second time in Egypt, providing attendees from different countries all over the world with Egypt’s rich culture and hospitality, while also aiming at embracing and celebrating different cultures from around the world.
In its 70th edition, the congress will gather more than 700 youth from more than 120 countries and territories worldwide to celebrate youth leadership and cultural diversity, as well as host discussions about three main themes that impact the world: sustainability development, entrepreneurship, and youth employment.
One of the major highlights of the congress’ activities is the “Global Village,” where every country and territory that AIESEC is present in showcases their culture through their traditional outfits, food, music, and culture, as well as provide awareness about local and national community issues. Other special events during the congress include the Global Youth Speak Forum, a one-day function, where youth and senior leaders collaborate to discuss the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
“We are proud to host this year’s international congress in Egypt to promote Egypt as an ideal investment and networking platform for business leaders, start-ups, and job seekers to find relevant opportunities,” commented Abdelrahman Ayman, AIESEC’s first Egyptian global president.
