Set to see an investment of $4-5bn, New Alamein is already becoming one of the most anticipated endeavours initiated by the Ministry of Housing, according to Ahmed Sabbour, the managing director of Al Ahly for Real Estate Development.

Sabbour told Daily News Egypt that the Egyptian North Coast keeps proving that it will remain the most preferred destination in the country as its attractiveness lies in the beach life options it covers, ones that is pursued by 60% of Egyptians for periods as long as an entire month every season.

“Within the past few years, lifestyle and nightlife options have been on the rise as they’re considered some of the area’s most influential pull factors and are what differentiate developers from each other,” Sabbour added. “Built with that very idea in mind, Al Ahly Sabbour’s GAIA is among the newest additions to the North Coast resorts, located on km 190 Alexandria/Matrouh road. Master planned by Chapman Taylor and RAY Design, the concept of the resort relies heavily on the power of integrating the essence of nature in its components.

He further noted, “The harmonious blend of contemporary architecture accompanied by an Arabian atmosphere aim toward creating a healing environment, one that motivates, inspires, and nurtures both the body and soul.”

Situated in Ras El Hekma, the resort covers an area of 2,164 km boasting a 500-meter beachfront views and 20,000 meters of swimmable water lagoons.

He explained that the project also offers a variety of home styles that include standalone villas, attached twin houses, duplexes, chalets, and cabanas; providing ultimate luxury within a beach resort. Through its line-up of facilities, including recreational areas, walking and cycling tracks, a  children’s area, a spa, and gym, GAIA is about adding value to a comprehensive seaside experience.

He pointed out that the New Alamein city continues to shape up and the government’s efforts in improving the area’s economic and social infrastructure become clearer. Set to see an investment of $4-5bn, New Alamein is already becoming one of the most anticipated endeavours initiated by the Ministry of Housing.

He added that this budding area is expected to have a profound change on the general perception of the destination and turn it into a year-round target by featuring projects that promise ideal, customer-oriented concepts.

The company has another flagship project in the North Coast and the company has started the construction of the fourth phase last August.

The Amwaj project is located in Ras El Hekma with a total area of 300 feddans with the project overlooking the sea directly. This project will be similar to the company’s distinctive projects such as Amwaj but will be thought of differently with additional services and new ideas.

He noted that tenants of the phase will enjoy 40 service outlets, and the company will hand over the units in the summer  of 2019.
