iSharp Smart Solutions announced the completion of its plan for the launch of the first smart educational city and Olympic sports academy with an investment cost of over EGP 5bn in Giza governorate. It includes four educational schools: British, American, French, German, and an Olympic sports school.
iSharp Managing Director Worldwide Ashraf Hozayen said, “with regard to the establishment of the educational city it started with an idea to develop education in Egypt according to a vision based on a scientific basis of the other facet of iSharp specialists in communication services and information systems by adopting the development of an educational system containing the use of simulation programmes and interactive learning.”
The educational city will be located on an area of 25 feddans in Giza, which is owned by the company and it is currently finalising its licenses. The city will include for the first time in Egypt environmentally-friendly buildings with modern designs, which are entirely technologically controlled, the first of their kind in Egypt. It will also include recreational sports centres and playgrounds designed according to international standards, a scientific museum, which will be the first in the world to present various sciences using virtual reality technology, added Hozayen.
In addition, he noted that his company will also develop an educational development centre for digital innovation supporting technology developers, stressing that this centre was to be set up in India, but the company decided to establish the centre in Egypt to provide a new quality of education in the country with Egyptian minds on Egyptian soil.
The company plans to spread the experience in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the near future, he also pointed out.
