The second annual E-Commerce Summit 2019, organised by robusta, honoured Halan for disrupting the mobility market and untapping the base of the pyramid besides catering for a significant portion of food and beverages delivery market by mid-2019.

Halan achieves millions of trips monthly, half of which are food deliveries. This year, ride-hailing trips have increased by 55%, while food deliveries quadrupled, said Adham Madkour.
During the summit’s panel discussion, Halan spokesperson presented the current situation of the transportation sector, the company’s new technology solutions, fast and reliable transportation, besides logistics and delivery services.
Established in 2017, Halan’s app allows customers to request on-demand motorbike or tuk-tuk rides, or order food or goods for delivery via motorbikes or cargo tricycles. Established in 2017, Halan is now operating in more than 20 governorates across Egypt and Sudan. Targeting underserved communities, the company is expanding in more Egyptian cities, including Sharqeya, Daqahleya, Damietta, Qena and Gharbeya this year. Moreover, Halan plans to expand in Africa through launching its services in Ethiopia by the end of 2019.
Halan offers thousands of job opportunities to people, it has more than 100 employees and about 10,000 drivers. The company carefully selects drivers and provides them with an efficient training programme, to ensure safe and comfortable journeys for their customers.
