Chairperson of Suez Canal Economic Zone (SC Zone) Yehia Zaki will participate in the UK–Africa Investment Summit starting 20 January for three days to promote the zone’s investments opportunities, according to a statement from the SC Zone on Sunday.
The summit aims to explore the investment opportunities in Africa in the presence of many international officials and an Egyptian delegation headed by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and several ministers, Daily News Egypt reported on 13 January.
“We aim to achieve new successes and present the zone’s business opportunities after the major development process that was implemented in the zone’s industrial areas and ports. We offer many advantages in the administrative and regulative sides,” Zaki noted.
The UK–Africa Investment Summit is a good opportunity for the SC Zone to promote itself since the summit is an international gathering that contribute to the creation of new partnerships through planned discussions, Zaki asserted.
The summit is the largest and 8th edition, boosting collaboration between Africa and the UK for the benefits of both sides, Zaki said, adding that the summit is expected to witness participation of 350 speakers in more than 30 sessions and will focus on Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, and Nigeria in addition to participation of the international financial institutions’ representatives.
