Real estate companies stand against Coronavirus

Chairperson of Beta Egypt for Urban Development Alaa Fekri said that the company has taken a number of precautionary measures to prevent the Coronavirus’s spread by reducing the density of people in offices and granting exceptions to work from home. The company will also give vacations to some employees and workers whose work doesn’t necessarily have to be in the office.

As for the sites in the projects, Fekri elaborated that the company provided antiseptics and masks to workers, and a list of instructions for preventing the virus spread followed by periodic follow-up of workers.

Chairperson of Cairo Capital Developments, Ahmed Selim said that his company is keen on sanitation and decreasing staff-mix, and fully sterilising the company’s offices and urging employees and workers to pay attention to personal hygiene and reduce food deliveries as much as possible

     

In addition, the company distributed best-practice instructions and provides healthy food to workers located at the company’s project sites.

Selim expects the Coronavirus tobe controlled soon, noting that the, “Egyptian real estate market would not be affected by the virus’s spread.”

For his part, Mahmoud Al Adl, chairperson of MBG Development, said that the company took a number of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new Coronavirus, and these measures include taking care of cleaning the company’s branches and offices and sterilising them periodically. The company will also stop using fingerprint scanners for employees to avoid other sources of transmitting diseases.

Al Adl added that the MBG has installed hand sanitisers at the company’s headquarters and in all of its buildings so that employees can use it continuously to reduce the risk of infection.

Khaled Rasekh, president of Skywalk Developments, said that the company is providing a free virus scan for all employees.

The company instructed employees and workers at projects sites to wear hand gloves and masks, he added, noting that, “Any cases of fatigue are reported on the site, quarantined, and examined. If this is done, the rest of the workers will be given a vacation until the examination is completed to ensure their safety.”
