French Chamber of Commerce’s offices in Egypt temporarily closed due to COVID-19

 The French Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors in Egypt announced that, given the current conditions, presidential directives and efforts made by the Egyptian government to combat the spread of Coronavirus in Egypt, it temporarily closes its offices in Cairo and Alexandria, starting from Thursday 19 March to 2 April 2020.

Managing Director of French Chamber Hassan Behnam said that members and officials and all employees of the Chamber are fully aware of the current situation and the need to take precautionary measures such as staying in their homes as much as possible and limiting mixing, in solidarity with instructions by Egyptian government aims to reduce Coronavirus’ spread.

He further noted that the French Chamber stands with Egyptian officials during this period and respects their decisions to combat the Coronavirus, in defence of the safety of Egyptian citizens and all those present on the territory of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Behnam said that during the closing period of the Chamber’s offices in Cairo and Alexandria, the team will follow up their work from their homes, using the remote work system.
