Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani has held a meeting with members of the Promotion and External Exhibitions Committee, as well as the Internal Events Committee to discuss the mechanisms of revitalising the internal and external tourism movement.
During the meeting, the participants also discussed the work to highlight the unique and varied tourist and archaeological sites that can be found in Egypt.
As part of the efforts to revitalize the internal, or domestic, tourism movement, trips for school and university students will be organised to the various tourism hotspots in Egypt.
This will come in addition to establishing tourism and archaeological activities and awareness programmes to raise awareness on the tourism and archaeological gems that can be seen in Egypt. This will target all segments of society, including the young and old, school and university students, and people with special needs.
The meeting also reviewed the developments of establishing a special mobile application to promote Egyptian tourism. This came in addition to discussing proposals for marketing Egypt as a major tourism destination in the main markets exporting visitors to the market.
