Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Nabila Makram, on Sunday met with a delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the “Decent Life” Initiative, to launch a fundraising event in the US and Canada on 25 September.
Makram also received businesswoman Laila Pence, who topped the Forbes list as one of the best wealth management advisors in the US, to discuss ways to involve Egyptians abroad in building the nation.
By targeting expats, this will help Egypt achieve its Vision 2030 and improve the quality of life for Egyptians so that illegal immigration can be prevented.
The minister said that the meeting comes at the end of several meetings held with the “Decent Life” Foundation and Laila Pence to start developing executive plans to advance the education and technical education sectors. This will take place under the umbrella of the presidential “Decent Life” initiative.
Laila Mugheeb, Head of the Regional Planning Sector at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, said that the Egyptian Government is keen to enhance and sustain the state’s economic growth. It aims to do so by developing many Egyptian villages, with Mugheeb stressing that the country is keen on investing in humans and meeting their needs.
In the same context, members of the “Decent Life” Foundation explained that the initiative has implemented many projects aimed at achieving digital illiteracy and focusing on education, health, and decent housing in various regions.
Meanwhile, Pence asserted that Egypt is witnessing a new era, whilst noting the importance of constantly informing Egyptians abroad of the breakthroughs and achievements in the country.
Pence is President of Pence Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Advisory firm, and one of the US’ leading private wealth management firms.
