Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ines Abdel-Dayem launched, on Sunday, the third phase of the “Ahl Masr” project at nine governorates with the participation of 200 children.
Abdel-Dayem said the project aims to spread positive values between children, such as being proud of their homeland in order to raise a conscious generation capable of completing the process of construction and development.
The project will hold many art workshops, and training for children on some Egyptian traditional crafts to preserve the Egyptian identity.
The project will also organize visits for children to all the archaeological areas in the targeted governorates.
Moreover, the project’s Director Hisham Atwa said the AhlMasr project is one of the most important activities adopted by the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, adding that the project focuses on children aged between 12 and 15 years old.
The project targets children from different governorates in order to spread the values of tolerance and acceptance for people from different backgrounds.
The third phase will also include visiting museums and archaeological sites in different governorates, as well as setting up a group of artistic, cultural, and literature workshops aimed at raising awareness of the Egyptian identity.
