Egypt has expressed its deep condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s continued terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The most recent attacks targeted the governorates of Dhahran Al-Janoub and Ahad Al Masarihah in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, Egypt stressed that those cowardly attacks against the two brotherly countries were a clear threat to their security and stability, and the safety of their citizens and residents, in addition to the grave violation of the rules of international law.
Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with both Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and its support for all the measures taken by the two brotherly countries to confront those terrorist attacks and to preserve their security and stability.
On Monday, the Arab Coalition announced that it destroyed a ballistic missile launched towards Saudi Arabia’s Dhahran Al-Janoub, while the UAE said it downed two missiles launched by the Iran-backed Houthis targeting Abu Dhabi.
Monday’s attack was the second on the UAE, as missiles hit a fuel depot in Abu Dhabi last week, killing three people, and causing a fire near its international airport.
Last week, the Arab Coalition conducted deadly airstrikes in Yemen that it said aimed to cripple the capabilities of the movement in a conflict that was largely seen as a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
