Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the ruling coalition’s victory in the legislative elections in Hungary.
This came during a phone call in which Al-Sisi stressed that the victory reflects the confidence of Hungarian voters in the vision and ability of Orban to lead the country during the next stage.
The president also praised the strong relations of friendship between the two countries, expressing Egypt’s aspiration to deepen and strengthen these ties.
Meanwhile, the Hungarian PM expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian president, stressing his keenness to enhance consultation and coordination with Egypt in various areas of common interest.
He also asserted his interest in discussing regional and international developments, confirming his country’s determination to advance bilateral relations with Egypt at all levels, especially in light of the Egyptian role in supporting and consolidating peace and stability in the Middle East, the Mediterranean Basin, and the African continent.
Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady added that the call witnessed discussions on various issues of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them. The two leaders also exchanged visions and views on regional files as well as developments in the Ukrainian crisis.
