UN Secretary General praises Egypt for allowing direct flights to Yemen’s Sana’a

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Sunday a phone call from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who expressed his sincere thanks to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for allowing direct flights between Cairo and Sana’a, within the framework of the UN truce in Yemen.

Minister Shoukry stressed that he will convey that message to the president, expressing his hope that this step will contribute to the stabilization of the UN truce in Yemen, alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people, contribute to the efforts to establish stability and security in Yemen, and support a sustainable settlement of the crisis there.
