The electronics factory, one of the factories of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), aims to add a new production line to manufacture educational interactive screens in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
Ahmed Mohamed Abdelaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics Factory – AOI, said that a few parts of the educational screen production line had been received at an investment cost of more than $2m, and that it would operate early next year.
He pointed out that the disruption of supply and supply chains has caused delays in the arrival of the parts of the line. He noted that the authority has recently added an SMT line at an investment cost of $1.1m to manufacture electronic panels.
He revealed that there is an expected cooperation with the Ministry of Business to inaugurate a factory for electric cars, pointing out that the factory’s equipment could take about two years to start assembling, provided that the local component ratio is increased to the highest possible percentage.
He said that the authority started manufacturing cameras two years ago in cooperation with Zero Tech, pointing out that there is great support from the state to encourage local products.
He pointed out that the authority started with two camera production lines, while the number of lines is currently four. The volume of cameras production per day reached 2500, and 800 tablets per day.
He added that the factory also produces LED lamps and flashlights for the national project in 27 governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, bringing the production volume to about 3.1 million flashlights.
He pointed out that the authority updates production lines every six months according to the new technology, pointing out that the authority provides all kinds of support to its factories. He also added that the tablet and laptop line is in the same production line.
The authority includes 16 factories, with the electronics factory being the top one, especially that most of its products are civil, and it cooperates with all ministries, especially the Ministry of Communication, Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research. There are outlets for the factory in most governorates, according to Abdelaziz.
The factory has concluded many protocols, as it cooperates with Zerotech in the production of cameras, with BluVera in interactive screens, and with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization in manufacturing tablets and laptops, in addition to cooperation with Fiber Egypt and Benya in manufacturing fiber cables.
