President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Sunday with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed — Adviser to the President for Urban Planning — and a number of military officials to follow up on the executive position of the projects of the Engineering Authority across the republic, according to a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
In this context, the president was briefed on the proposals for the exploitation of therapeutic tourism resources in the South Sinai, especially in the areas of Ain Mousa, the Pharaoh’s Baths, and sulphur springs in Ras Sidr and Al-Tor.
Al-Sisi then directed the establishment of integrated hospital centres according to the highest standards in those unique areas and in partnership with European expertise in this field in a way that helps take full advantage of the riches that Egypt has in this framework.
They also presented the latest developments in the network of roads, axes, and bridges at the level of the republic, especially the development of the coastal road.
Moreover, Al-Sisi called for reviewing the details of these plans with scrutiny to ensure the safety of drivers and traffic liquidity.
The president also followed up on the latest developments of the Mokattam Plateau, directing to continue existing efforts to raise the efficiency of internal roads, axes, and squares there, including the development of Street Nine, which represents the main commercial artery of Mokattam.
The official spokesperson added that the meeting also reviewed existing efforts to take advantage of a number of unused land and space in the vicinity of Greater Cairo, as well as the progress of work in the development of Salah Salem Road, as well as the executive position for the development of gardens surrounding Salah Al-Din Castle.
