MSMEDA implements comprehensive strategy for digital transformation: Rahmi

Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), said that the agency is currently developing its services, in addition to adopting a comprehensive strategy for digital transformation. This would happen by launching a national electronic platform for small enterprises connecting various agencies and ministries, in addition to expanding marketing and electronic collection services.

Rahmi said that the state is striving to push the growth rates of the small and micro enterprise sector as a locomotive for comprehensive economic development. It is adopting a national strategy to provide various aspects of financial and technical support for small enterprises, and help their owners to expand and develop, in addition to enhancing their ability to provide more sustainable job opportunities. 

He added that MSMEDA is working to enforce Enterprise Development Law 152, in cooperation with all concerned state agencies. By that, it targets to meet the needs of owners of small enterprises or those wishing to establish them, as well as create a legislative environment conducive to the growth of this sector, and to create an appropriate climate to encourage young people to become. Moreover, the agency is working to provide a different package of incentives and benefits stipulated in the law, in coordination with the relevant ministries.

Rahmi indicated that the agency participates in CBE’s strategy for financial inclusion 2022-2025 to provide all banking services to the various segments of society with quality and professionalism.
