The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation for the reports by various human rights and humanitarian organizations that document and denounce the daily violations and crimes committed by the occupation forces and settler militias against the Palestinian people. The Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that these reports accurately and legally describe the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, where the Israeli escalation affects all aspects of the Palestinians’ lives, without any accountability or international sanctions.

The statement highlighted the recent report by Human Rights Watch, which confirmed that 2022 was the deadliest year for Palestinian children, and that 2023 is witnessing an increase in violence against them, which may surpass the previous year’s record. The statement also referred to the biweekly reports by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which documented the surge in extrajudicial killings since the beginning of this year.

The Ministry said that these violations also include the theft of land, the demolition of homes and facilities, and other abuses that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Ministry warned against treating these crimes as mere statistics or routine matters, and called on the UN and all countries to adopt these reports and take them into account in their dealings with Israel. The Ministry also urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to expedite its investigations and issue arrest warrants for those responsible for crimes against the Palestinian people.
