CAIRO: Egypt stormed back from a one-goal deficit to squash Belarus 4-1 and win the International Friendship Tournament in Qatar on Wednesday.

The game looked heading towards an extra time when the score was tied at 1-1 with just seven minutes remaining on the clock.

But the Egyptians opened the floodgates with Ahmed Samir, Mohamed Ragab and Abdullah Al-Saied scoring in style to sink their shocked opponents.

Belarus have initially took the lead in the 52nd minute from the spot before Samir equalized six minutes after the hour mark.

Egypt looked better and closer to breaking the deadlock throughout the first-half but couldn t get past the Belarus goalie.

The Pharaohs were punished seven minutes after re-start when they conceded against the run of the pay from a penalty-kick.

In the 66th minute, Samir leveled when he steered the ball home on the rebound after Ragab s header rattled the crossbar.

Samir put Egypt two up in the 83rd minute when he controlled a neat cross on the edge of the area before threading a delicate finish into the far post.

Ragab secured the title for Egypt three minutes later with a simple tap-in from close range before a superb dink from Al-Saied put the icing on the cake.
