CAIRO: Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) appointed Khalid Ellaicy as chief financial officer, succeeding Aldo Mareuse as of Oct. 17.
Ellaicy, who will report to CEO Ahmed Abou Doma, has 26 years of experience in the accounting and finance field, previously working in public accounting firms in the US and Egypt as well as at KPMG Egypt, Zain and Mobinil.
Abou Doma said, “I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Aldo for his many years of dedication and achievements within the group. Aldo played an instrumental role in the transformation of OTH into a leading global telecommunications company.
“I’m now pleased to welcome Khalid Ellaicy as our new CFO. Khalid has been part of the group for several years and we are confident that he will bring in his expertise as a new addition to OTH’s management team.”
