Veteran advertising agency Tarek Nour Communications hopes to achieve EGP 100 million in advertisements sales during the month of Ramadan.
Tarek Makhlouf, the managing director of the company, said that if the company is able to meet its Ramadan target, it will compensate for recent losses, particularly in light of the decision to continue broadcasting the Al-Qahira wal Nas channel during Ramadan.
He said that the company sold EGP 80 million worth of advertisements last Ramadan, noting that the holy month accounts for between 60% and 65% of total spending on advertisements in the Egyptian market.
Makhlouf said that the cost of an advertisement is between EGP 1.5 million and EGP 2 million, expressing that the company will focus on consumer goods as well as telecommunication companies, which account for most of advertising in Ramadan.
