Chairperson of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Ahmed Darwish said that the authority will review the draft contracts signed between the authority and Spanish companies, before drafting and implementing a cooperation protocol with the Spanish side.
This came during the visit of the Spanish delegation to the economic zone in East Port Said to inspect the nature of the area and the infrastructure works, as well as the projects being implemented and the potential investment opportunities available in the area.
The Spanish delegation also extended an invitation to Ahmed Darwish to attend the largest international exhibition for investment in Barcelona, which takes place next June.
The Barcelona exhibition is one of the most important and largest exhibition areas across Europe. The conference is held on an annual basis and is being attended by major investors and companies.
Other participants of the exhibition include Morocco, Algeria, Brazil, and Colombia. The United Arab Emirates, represented by Dubai, will also take part in the exhibition for the first time.
