Prime Minister, and acting Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouli said that the Central Authority for Reconstruction, which is affiliated with the ministry, is carrying out a number of developmental and service projects in Port Said with investments worth EGP 7.1bn.
The projects vary between social housing, improving roads and lighting, and servicing buildings and infrastructure works.
For his part, Mustafa El-Ajouz, head of the Central Authority for Reconstruction, said in a press statement on Sunday that these projects aim at serving Port Said`s residents.
“We have completed the implementation of two projects in Port Said during the fiscal year (FY) 2017/2018 among the Central Authority for Reconstructions’ investment plan at a cost of EGP 86.5m,” El-Ajouz added.
He continued that the Central Authority for Reconstruction is currently implementing five projects in Port Said, noting that these projects will be finalised within FY 2018/2019, with the investment cost estimated at EGP 5.28bn.
On a separate note, the head of the Central Authority for Reconstruction added that the authority partakes in the implementation of the social housing projects in Port Said, which are financed by the Housing Ministry. They are establishing 4,824 housing units in Port Fouad City at a cost of EGP 1.1bn, in addition to completing the first phase of the social housing project, including 1,810 units at a cost of EGP 368m.
