Egypt and Saudi Arabia have participated in the joint Tuwaiq-2 training exercise, with a number of other Arab countries, which concluded on Saturday at the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
Air force personnel and paratroopers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, and Oman participated in the exercises, with Bahrain and Kuwait as observers.
The concluding phase of the training included a number of different training activities and the implementation of an airdrop by parachute to supply the forces involved in the training. This ensured they would receive their various needs of fuel and ammunition, through medium supplies and heavy drops.
The training illustrated the ability and professionalism of the participating forces in carrying out the tasks.
It also reflects the extent to which the armed forces of Arab countries possess human capabilities, technical capabilities, and high skill.
The Tuwaiq-2 joint training exercise affirms the strength of the ties that bring together the Arab countries participating in the training, and their ability to work together. This is with the aim of supporting security and stability efforts, and confronting common challenges in the region.
