CAIRO: ExxonMobil Egypt is set to launch two new lubricants specifically designed for the textile industries, the company announced in a statement to the press.
Under Mobil brand, the two new products – Knitting Oil T22 and Connitex E – were created to meet the needs of ExxonMobil Egypt customers looking to protect and prolong the productivity of their textile machinery. The new lubricants are designed to secure the quality of the finished products.
The new line of products meets the latest global industry standards of quality and performance, said the company statement.
“The manufacturing side of the textile industry are dependant on reliable and high quality lubricants, ExxonMobil Egypt is launching this line of products to ensure that need is met in an industry which is not only active but promises continued growth for Egypt’s economy, said Ayman El Sabaa, industrial and marine sales manager of ExxonMobil Egypt.
The products were launched at the 11th ITCE International African-Arabian Exhibition for Textile, Embroidery and Sewing Machinery & Accessories, which took place in Cairo Feb. 28 through March 2.
Knitting Oil T22, a clear lubricant for knitting and sewing machines, has a transparent color, which reduces the risk of fabric staining. It is also water soluble, making it washable and able to maintain the quality of finished products.
The lubricant’s high anti-wear and anti-rust properties keep the wear of moving parts including needles and cams at a minimum, the company explained. In addition to its balanced formula, the lubricant has proved high stability under high temperatures, and also prevents the formation of excess varnish.
Meanwhile, Connitex E is a conning, twisting and texture oil for synthetic yarns, and is applied to textured yarns by means of dipping rollers, shafts and wick lubrication. “Connitex E offers anti-static and anti-splash properties, high resistance to oxidation due to light or heat, and low fiber to fiber/fiber to metal friction, read the statement.
ExxonMobil Egypt was present at the ITCE 11th fair with a booth within the knitting industry section of the exhibition, which featured around 680 other exhibitors.
The exhibition will also feature other industrial high performance products for applications in textile industries such as gears, greases, compressors and synthetic lubricants, providing “The Complete Textile Offer, the theme of ExxonMobil Egypt in the exhibition.
