CAIRO: After Iraqi journalist Muntazar Al-Zaidi won worldwide fame by hurling a pair of shoes at US president George W. Bush, Egyptian folk singer Shaaban Abdel Rehim joined the many Arabs that glorified the incident, releasing his newest song “[Bush] You’re Useless.

Al-Zaidi stood before a judge Wednesday, after he gained folk hero status across the Arab world by throwing both shoes at Bush during a news conference in the Iraqi capital.
Bush escaped the hit by ducking twice, which upset Al-Zaidi’s supporters.
“I wish it had hit your face and punctured your eyes, sings Abdel Rehim.
In his song, Abdel Rehim makes a reference to “martyrs in heaven that have unjustly lost their lives in Bush’s war on terror. “More than a million martyrs in heaven are watching you happily.
Abdel Rehim is widely known for his song “I hate Israel and love Amr Moussa released during the Palestinian uprising in 2001, making him an iconic, comedic critic of the US policies in the Middle East.
Abel Rehim’s fame stems from his use of the same tune along with lyrics usually marked with hard-hitting honesty and criticism.
