The Ministry of Interior released a statement yesterday advising Cairo resident on which traffic routes to avoid and which to take on June 4 during President Barack Obama’s visit.
. Avoid: Road to and from the airport Time: 8 am – 10 am Alternative route: Ring Road and El Million Shagara Road
. Avoid: Al Khalifa Al Ma’moun, Salah Salem and Orouba Time: 9 am – 12 pm Alternative route: Autostrad, Ring Road or El Nasr Road
. Avoid: Coming from Maadi towards Kasr El Aini St. and downtownTime: 11 am – 1 pm Alternative route: Al Fostat Bridge onto the Ring Road or Abbas Bridge and Mounib instead of El Gam’a Bridge
. Avoid: Giza St., El Galaa Tunnel and El Nil St.Time: 12 pm – 3 pmAlternative route: Faisal bridge towards Sudan St. on the north Giza district
. Avoid: Saray El GeziraTime: 12 pm – 3 pm Alternative route: Corniche El Nil onto 15 May Bridge leading to 26 July St.
. Avoid: Mena House area, Haram Time: Starting 11 amAlternative route: From Remaya Sq. directly onto either Faisal St. or Haram St.
. Sayeda Aisha and Hadayek El Kobba bus stops have been moved to under El Abgeya Bridge and Waly El ‘Ahd St.
