CAIRO: Head of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc, Hussein Ibrahim, led a furious attack on Mohamed Mansour, minister of transportation during last Wednesday’s parliamentary session.

During the session, the MB group stonewalled Mansour, accusing the minister of wasting public funds and held him responsible for “the deteriorating conditions of the railway authority.

Hussein and other Brotherhood MPs were surprised that National Democratic Party (NDP) MPs had rushed to greet the minister, who was asked to appear at the PA to be questioned in serious matters, said Hussein.

“The NDP members are violating the PA charter, Mr President, Hussein said addressing PA chairman Fathi Sorour. “How can PA members thank the minister they should be investigating?

“We are not against thanking any minister but not in this way and not during a serious investigation, Hussein added.

During the session, Mansour presented a special documentary in which he illustrated the ministry’s achievements and plans regarding the development of the railway sector.
