CAIRO: Zamalek’s technical staff suspended defender Amr Al-Safti on Tuesday when he didn’t show up at the recent training sessions in protest salary dock.
Al-Safti got angry when he knew there was LE 5,000 deducted from his salary as a penalty for his absence and asked assistant manager Ayman Mansour to put him on the transfer list so he could leave the club.
As a result Mansour decided to suspend him for an unknown period.
The 25-year-old defender joined Zamalek from Masri last June but failed to make a good impact or keep a regular place in Henri Michel s starting line-up.
