Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan said that hiring new coach Ricardo Ferreira is only an initial step towards developing the team this season.
Aboul-Hassan vows to make more signings in the January transfer window, as the Dervishes aim to cover for the departure of Hani Saied and Hosni Abd-Rabou.
First we were looking for a competent and experienced coach, and that’s what we have achieved by hiring Ricardo, said the Ismaili chief.
Now we are aiming to sign two or three quality players in the winter break in order to help the team reach top form, he added.
Ismaili has been inconsistent in the league this season due to their earlier search for a head coach.
