CAIRO: Reiner Hollmann s agent Ahmed Abbas said the beleaguered coach, who’s currently in Germany on vacation, will discuss his future at Zamalek with club president Mamdouh Abbas once he gets back.
Hollmann s position is still at risk, following a series of poor results and unconvincing performances.
The German tactician was denounced on more than one occasion, but the Whites 3-1 loss to 10-man Olympic last Sunday triggered off a wave of protest.
Hollmann will meet with chairman Abbas when he returns from Germany, he wants to clarify some issues regarding the team s form, agent Abbas told FilGoal.com.
The agent claimed earlier that Hollmann had received offers from Romania national team and UAE League side Al-Nasr, but so far his future remains vague.
Abbas assured Hollmann s contract with Zamalek includes a recession clause that allows him to quit prematurely upon paying $20,000.
Meanwhile, Zamalek vice-president Mohamed Amer rejected the earth-shattering suggestion of hiring Egypt former tactician Mahmoud Al-Gohari as a new head coach.
The club s board members are set to hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss whether Hollmann would stay on or be relieved of his duty along with his assistants.
Several officials believe the expatriate coach is competent enough to carry on, but other technical staff modifications are crucially required.
