CAIRO: Egyptian Football Association (EFA) President Samir Zaher paid a visit to Algerian side USM Bejaia, in an attempt to patch up things, after Masri technical staff’s inappropriate behavior in a game with the Algerian club last month.

Bejaia, who are currently in Tunisia to face Esperance in the final of the North African Cup, saw a torrid finale to their home semi-final tie with the Port-Saied side.

Former Masri football director Ibrahim Hassan has evidently assaulted the fourth official, insulted the match referee and made an inappropriate gesture to Algerian fans after the game.

The EFA s official site stated that Zaher spoke with officials from the Algerian team and succeeded in efforts to “keep the friendly relationship with the North African neighbors.

Zaher s gesture comes before Egypt s crunch double-header with Algeria in the World Cup qualifiers final phase this year.
