CAIRO: Amr Zaki s personal manager Mohamed Saied firmly denied reports indicating that the Wigan Athletic striker partied at a night club during the early hours of Saturday.

The Daily Mirror claimed that the 26-year-old “was spotted coming out of Manchester s Cloud 23 bar at 2 am yesterday morning – just 13 hours ahead of the Latics home defeat to Arsenal.

The English paper also quoted a Wigan spokesman as saying that Zaki seemed to be showing a blatant lack of respect.

This paper does not have any evidence to back up its claims, Saied told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

Zaki was photographed while he was entering Hilton Manchester Hotel, where he met his agent Nader Shawky.

He also phoned Al-Hayat channel at the same time the paper said he was partying. There were not any voices around him so how come he went to a night club?

Zaki, who is on loan from Zamalek, has just got over a dispute with Wigan coach Steve Bruce after returning late from international duty.

The Bulldozer s off-field actions cast doubts over his chances of earning a permanent move to the JJB Stadium.

Bruce phoned Zaki after the partying rumors and he (the latter) clarified everything to him, Saied said.

Wigan will release a statement on Tuesday to deny The Daily Mirror allegations.
