CAIRO: Zamalek’s board has agreed to participate in the Egypt-Saudi Super Cup scheduled for next month against Ahly Jeddah.
The Whites took their decision during the board meeting, on Monday, to confirm the team’s participation in the Cup winners Cup while Ahly will face Ittihad Jeddah in the League Champions contest.
There were several other issues on the table as the board decided to delay the voting on the permanent ban of the club’s former Chairman Mortada Mansour.
The name of the new assistant coach will be unveiled after Wednesday’s league clash against Al Gaish. Al Wehdat coach Ismail Youssef is leading the race but Ahmed Ramzi and Ashraf Qassem are still major contenders.
In addition, the board approved a budget of LE 30 million to resume the construction’s works in the club’s headquarter.
