CAIRO: Al Ahly’s league game against Baladeyat El Mahalla will be played in Tanta instead of El Mahalla El Kobra, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Saturday.
Baladeya and Ghazl Mahalla haven’t able to play in their respective venues for weeks due to security concerns.
The interior ministry deemed the city unsuitable to host any matches these days, following demonstration and riots that followed the April 6 strike.
Runaway leaders Al Ahly will be officially crowned Egyptian League champions for the fourth consecutive season if they beat Baladeya today.
