CAIRO: Harras Hodoud extended the contracts of frontline duo Ahmed Eid and Ahmed Abdul-Ghani for three years.

"We persuaded both players to pen new deals that will keep them with us till the 2012-2013 season," Hodoud assistant coach Abou-Taleb Al-Eisawi told FilGoal.com.

Eid’s new deal put an end to widespread speculations over his future as he was repeatedly linked with a move to Zamalek.

Former Ahli right-back Islam Al-Shater also renewed his contract with Hodoud for another season, according to Al-Eisawi.

On the other hand, the military club are still holding talks with left back Mohamed Mekki, whose contract runs out by the end of next season.
"We are looking to keep hold of him," Al-Eisawi added.

Mekki is understood to be willing to join Zamalek this summer.

Hodoud also completed the signing of Youssef Gamal from Ismaili.

The Alexandrian outfit had previously landed Mohamed Attia from Telecom Egypt in the close season.

More Signings

Hodoud boss Tarek Al-Ashri says his side will be seeking to sign more players this summer.

"More signings are on the cards," he stated. "We still need another striker and two wingers."

Hodoud won the Egyptian Super Cup and the Egyptian Cup last season.
