CAIRO: Ahly accepted an undisclosed offer from Police Union for defending midfielder Abdullah Farouk, the Egyptian champions said.
Police Union finished last season fourth and wish they can move up in the new campaign, so that they can play in Africa.
Farouk is a versatile player, who can play also on the flanks but rarely succeeded to break into the starting line-up.
Theoretically, he had no chance to play for Ahly next season after the club signed former Tottenham Hotspur man Hossam Ghaly, who will compete with regular starters Hossam Ashour, Shehab Ahmed and Moetazbellah Mohamed.
Mahmoud Toba, former Egypt U-20 captain, might also be loaned to newly-promoted side MCDR, according to football director Hadi Khashaba.
