Egyptian group El Sewedy Electric was seen posting a 26.5 percent rise in third-quarter net profit to LE 228 million ($40 million), as demand for power generation in the Middle East picked up.
Third-quarter revenue at the biggest Arab cable maker by market value was seen up 44 percent to LE 3.14 billion, a Reuters poll also found.
Sewedy, which has production plants in Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen and Zambia, exports to markets in the Middle East North Africa region, Brazil, Portugal, Spain and eastern Europe.
