President Mohamed Morsi appointed 17 new governors on Sunday by presidential decree 426 for 2013. Morsi will swear in the new governors on Monday at the presidential palace in Heliopolis.

They include:

Maher Mohamed Bebars – Alexandria Governorate

Tarek Mahdy Abdel Tawab – Red Sea Governorate

Hassan Refaei Hussein Al-Hawy – Ismailia Governorate

Badr Tantawy Badr Al-Ghandour – Matruh Governorate

Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed Khalifa – New Valley Governorate

Samah Mohamed Ahmed Qandil – Port Said Governorate

Ismail Hassan Attiat-Allah Hassan – Aswan Governorate

Tarek Fathallah Khedr – Damietta Governorate

Adel Asaad Mohamed Al-Khayat – Luxor Governorate

Salah Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Meguid – Qena Governorate

Adel Abdel Moneim Ahmed Hassan – Beni Suef Governorate

Sobhy Attia Ahmed Younis – Daqahleya Governorate

Ahmed Shaarawi Abdallah Mohamed – Menufiya Governorate

Hussam Abu Bakr Al-Sediq Al-Shahat Abol Ezz – Qaliubiya Governorate
