The Defense Authority for Supporters of Former President Mohamed Morsi in Suez appealed the decision by the leadership of the Third Army in Suez which refused to accept a petition put forth to remove or lighten charges placed on Muslim Brotherhood leaders.

The Suez Military Court had sentenced the members to three years of imprisonment on charges of spreading lies, promoting strife, violating curfew and inciting violence against the army using car radios.

This was announced by Ashraf Tawfik, lawyer of the accused. Those arrested included Tarek Eissa, Yasser Morsi, and Tarek Bayoumi.
