Al-Ahly’s 20th continental title win was a miraculous achievement, continuing its status at the top of the list of world clubs with the most continental titles. Emad Moteab scored against Ivory Coast’s Séwé Sport during the last moments of the final of the African Confederation Cup, which Al-Ahly won for the first time.

Goal number 300 went to Emad Moteab during the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League in 2006 in Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas. The game ended with a 2-0 Al-Ahly victory despite a 2-1 loss previously. Al-Ahly was able to win this historic tournament due to Abou Trika netting a famous goal against Tunisia CSS’s in the Rades Stadium.
Moteab was close to the target of 400 but fate allowed Ahmed Abdel Zaher, Al-Ahly striker, the opportunity to become part of Al-Ahly’s African history. Abdel Zaher scored goal number 400, representing his first African goal while wearing the Al-Ahly jersey. It came against Kenya’s Tusker FC during the round of 32 of the CAF Champions League in 2013, after which Al-Ahly won the title.
