President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will make his first visit to Kuwait on Monday to meet with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to discuss bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
State-owned news agency MENA reported that the invitation came from the Kuwaiti Emir himself.
The president will meet with a group of Kuwaiti businessmen and members of trade and industry chambers in Kuwait with the aim of discussing methods of increasing Kuwaiti investments in Egypt. They will also discuss the form of Kuwait’s participation in the Economic Summit next March.
Presidential spokesperson Alaa Youssef revealed in press statements that the visit will be more focused on economic affairs, adding that Al-Sisi has assigned the ministers to prepare reports of the files that should be given priority during the visit.
Al-Sisi’s visit comes in the context of moves to assure local and foreign investors ahead of the Economic Summit, scheduled to take place in March.
