Banque Misr has opened a new branch for Islamic banking in Alexandria. The number of Islamic banking branches launched by the bank, under the name of Kenana, is now 35 branches distributed among different parts of Egypt.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr Mohamed El-Etreby, Vice Chairman Ahmed Abu El-Ezz, Regions and Branches’ sector Manager Adel Fawzy, Head of Administrative and Engineering Affairs Tarek Ali, opened the new branch.
The bank supplied this branch with all modern equipment to guarantee an outstanding service level for the customer and to help them save time, especially after applying the e-linking system between all the bank’s branches. The system enables clients to manage their accounts through any bank branch, which are more than 500 branches.
It is worth mentioning that Banque Misr is the first public bank that established Islamic banking branches to offer all kinds of banking, financial and commercial businesses, under the supervision of Shari’a Supervisory Board of Al-Azhar. Banque Misr aims at developing an innovative range of services and banking products, in accordance with Islamic shari’a, to meet all the needs of customers.
