144 ships transited Suez Canal in 3 final days of last week

Daily News Egypt is unable to provide the statistics of the Suez Canal traffic data since the Suez Canal Authority did not announce traffic information on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of last week due to the national holidays.

However, 144 ships transited the canal, carrying a total load of 8.5m tonnes, during the last three days of last week.

A total of 45 ships transited the canal on Tuesday; 19 of which passed through the canal carrying 1.1m tonnes coming from the north and 26 from the south carrying 1.0m tonnes.

Data showed that 60 ships transited the canal carrying 3.5m tonnes on Wednesday; 26 from the north with 1.5m tonnes and 34 from the south carrying 2m tonnes.

A total of 39 ships loaded with 2m tonnes on Thursday; 16 from North carrying 700,000 tonnes and 23 with 1.3m tonnes came from the south.
