Hussein Shobokshi appointed chairperson of NAEEM board of directors

Saudi businessman and economic consultant Hussein Shobokshi was appointed as chairperson of NAEEM Holding’s board of directors on 30 June.

NAEEM Holding offers investment and financial services to investors in the region and also offers services as a broker in the region for foreign institutional clients seeking to invest in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The decision comes as part of NAEEM’s plan to increase Gulf investment in Egypt and widen its operations in the Gulf region.

According to NAEEM, Shobokshi is a consultant for a number of Gulf companies and is a board member of Shobokshi Development & Trading Company among others. He also writes for Asharq Al-Awsat and was chosen as one of the “Global Leaders for Tomorrow” at the World Economic Forum.

“NAEEM has been going through a restructuring programme during the last 18 months,” said NAEEM Holding CEO Youssef Al-Far in a press release. “Shobokshi’s regional experience will serve to widen NAEEM’s presence in the Gulf and augment the potential of NAEEM’s regional operations.”
