Marketing and advertising company All Media, owned by Khaled Ibrahim Abdel Aziz, recently organised the Sporting Squash Open Championship, with Wadi Degla Club as the main sponsor.
The championship took place earlier this month in the Sporting Club, located in Alexandria.
“The importance of this championship resides in that it is the first national championship in the new season. It serves as one of the championships that qualifies Egyptian players to participate in the British Squash Open,” Mahmoud Tarek, All Media’s executive director, told Daily News Egypt.
A total of 844 players participated in this championship, of which 200 players were from Wadi Degla Club.
Zahed Salem won the men’s competition, while Fares El-Desuky finished in second place.
As for the women’s competition, Nour El-Sherbiny, who is ranked first internationally, won first place, while Nouran El-Torky won second. Heba El-Torky and Mayar Hany won third and fourth places, respectively.
All Media is also organising the Smouha Squash Open, to be held in November at Smouha Club, located in Alexandria.
