CAIRO: Zamalek edged Belgian side Cercle Brugge 2-1 in the third match of their pre-season European tour on Sunday.
Tunisian defender Wissem El-Abdi put the Egyptian side ahead at the half-hour mark, but Ukranian international Serhiy Serebrennikov leveled the score for Cercle after 69 minutes.
Zamalek veteran striker Abdul Halim Ali scored the winner 10 minutes from time to give the Whites their first pre-season victory.
Zamalek will complete their European tour by facing Standard Liege on Wednesday.
