CAIRO: Hossam Ghaly has been reinstalled in Tottenham Hotspur s first team upon the request of new coach Harry Redknapp, according to reports in England.

The Egyptian player, who is one step away from Spurs exit door, is believed to have joined outcasts like Ricardo Rocha, Paul Stalteri, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Adel Taarabt in Redknapp s restored list.

Ghaly has been out of first team action at White Hart Lane since May 2007, since his notorious shirt tantrum at Martin Jol s reign.

The hiring of Juande Ramos last season did not mean much of a progress for the 27-year-old, who went on loan to Derby County.

However, it seems that Ghaly could find redemption in the arrival of Redknapp, who is plotting a strategy to save the fallen London giants from relegation.

Meanwhile, Kevin Bond has been appointed as coach to assist Redknapp, replacing Tim Sherwood.

Kevin Bond has joined me, Redknapp told Sky Sports TV.

There are a couple of lads who have been here who I spoke to about joining us as well. We will wait and see what happens with that one.

I like Tim, I think he is very knowledgeable and great on the game.
