CAIRO: Ahly defender Wael Gomaa and goal keeper Amir Abdel-Hamid picked up ankle injuries during the team s 1-0 league defeat at the hands of Police Union on Wednesday.
The African champions suffered their second league loss of the season, after a second half penalty from Ahmed Duiedar handed Police the three points.
Club physician Ehab Ali told the club s official website further tests showed that Abdel-Hamid s injury will not prevent him from playing against ENPPI on Nov. 30.
Meanwhile, Gomaa has started a rehabilitation program to determine the possibility of fielding him in the ENPPI game.
After the Police defeat, Ahly will be facing the petroleum side in one of the club s re-scheduled fixtures.
